About The Club
Bedhampton Bowling Club was founded in 1984. Originally playing on a traditional grass green, the Club, in looking to the future, took the decision to go down the road of an all weather green. This conversion was completed in November 2012 and has now enabled us to have all year round bowling and fewer cancelled matches through inclement weather.
We have a modern club house complete with catering facilities and there is also a boules terrain within the Club grounds.
We are a friendly and welcoming club with just over one hundred members, some of which are social. The Club is always keen to recruit more players – including juniors – and all standards of play are catered for. Club coaches are available to assist. The club enters teams in the local leagues, arranges friendly matches and has organized roll-ups and competitions during the season. Social events are also arranged.
Pedestrian access is available from Bedhampton Road and there is free car parking in close proximity to the green, vehicular access being from the south through the recreation ground via Bidbury Lane.
Disability Bowls England
We are a Disability Bowls England Member club and Bowlers with a disability can compete with or against non-disabled bowlers in most situations. It is one of the most accessible and integrated sports readily available. We at Bedhampton bowls club welcome interest from anyone that has a disability to come and join our club or take part in an event promoting disability bowls.

The Early Years of Bedhampton Bowling Club – By Alan Rayment
The following document was produced by Alan Rayment in 2004 and explains the birth of the club from embryo stages to where we are now.
Some of the text maybe not relevant to the club as it exists today but it makes very interesting reading, the origins of some of the club competitions that we still run today will no longer be a mystery once the document is read.
